Mississippi State got this 2012 defensive lineman out of Georgia on their campus for an unofficial visit and it was over there. He saw what he needed to see, felt what he needed to feel, and he is ready to be a Bulldog.
“When I went on my visit to Mississippi State last week, I loved it. I felt at home and I committed to Mississippi State this morning. I made up my mind Wednesday night, but I just let the coaches know,” said Jordan Washington.
The official visit to Starkville days ago ended it for the 6-foot-3, 280 pound defensive lineman out of Suwanee (GA) North Gwinnett.
“I got to see Coach Wilson and I really like the way he coaches. I like the fact that he is the Defensive Coordinator and the Defensive Line Coach. I also loved the campus and the facilities; it all just made me feel at home. I just feel Mississippi State is where I belong.”
It came down to the Bulldogs and the Buckeyes. Washington planned to visit Ohio State this weekend, but that visit will no longer take place.
“With all the unstable problems Ohio State had over the past year and the way they came in kind of late just raised an eyebrow for me,” he said. “Mississippi State is just where I belong and I get to play in the SEC, the best and most competitive conference in NCAA football. I can’t wait to get to Mississippi State and compete.”
