Tulane lands Georgia QB
Kyle Sloter gave Tulane a verbal commitment shortly before head coach Bob Toledo stepped down, and while Toledo's departure wasn't expected by Sloter, he plans on sticking with the Green Wave. "I was surprised, but I still plan on staying true to my commitment to Tulane," said Sloter. "I was disappointed, though. I visited last weekend and loved it. I love Coach (Rickey) Bustle and Tulane is still the place where I want to be. "When I visited, I talked with Coach Toledo and he expected to be there another year. I committed on Monday. I called the coaches on my way to the airport and let them know about my decision. I've been getting interest from Arkansas, Georgia, Vanderbilt, Iowa and Illinois." Mount Pisgah is 4-3 this year and Sloter has been slinging the ball around the field with great success. "I have 1,750 yards passing with 23 total touchdowns," he said. "I have 16 passing touchdowns and seven rushing. Last week, I was named AJC (Atlanta Journal-Constitution) Performer of the Week. I had 310 yards passing and two touchdowns with a 62% completion percentage."
