Profile 2004-Matt Panfil

Panfil returns at both wide receiver and safety for North Crowley head coach Mike Papas this season and will be recruited on both sides of the ball in Division I-A.


Panfil was a jack-of-all-trades for the Panthers in 2002, catching eight passes for 201 yards in addtion to rushing for 49 yards on only five attempts.

On defense, he recorded 81 tackles (67 solos and 14 assists) with one fumble recovery and one interception. Matt also averaged 36.1 yards per kick as the team's punter.

The six-foot-three, 183-lb Panfil has a 235-lb bench, 340-lb squat and 32-inch vertical leap. He also carries a 3.9 GPA in the classroom.

TCU is his current favorite, followed by Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and Texas. He plans on camping at TCU, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech this summer.

Panfil's parents attended Tulsa University.
