At 5'9/180 pounds, Gateway's Darin Franklin isn't the biggest player on the field, but he's one of the hardest to stop. See him in action in this presentation by ScoutTV.

Gateway High School in Pittsburgh, Pa. has been one of the most successful teams in the nation both on the field and for producing college football players for the next level. Class of 2013 running back Darin Franklin may be the next in line.

At 5'9 and 180 pounds, Franklin has exceptional feet, balance and vision. He's capable of making quick cuts in traffic and has good speed once he's out of it. He is small in stature, but he runs big and isn't afraid to go between the tackles or pick up a blitz in pass protection.

Earlier this year his Gateway team played against Scout Top 50 member Central Catholic on Root Sports. Here is a look at Franklin from the game.
