In Person Eval: Micah Fairley

The state of Mississippi always has a strong group of college prospects for recruiters to comb through. Perhaps one of the biggest sleepers in the Magnolia State is East Central standout Micah Fairley. Micah plays on both sides of the ball equally well. He might turn out to be one of those guys that college football fans wonder, "Where did he come from?"

Micah has a very athletic build and good speed. On offense he serves as a change of pace runner to complement the hard charging style of teammate Antwon Wells.

Fairley does a good of getting the corner and getting what he can on the play. He has rushed for over 400 yards as the second running option for the Hornets.

He looks extremely comfortable on defense at corner. Micah has good hips and can flip them and run with a receiver looking to get loose on the fade.

Fairley also showed good route recognition and was able to squat on some the underneath routes and make a tackle sort of the first down.

Micah earned All-Region honors as a defensive back and I believe he has the potential to be an every down corner on the next level if he works hard enough.

He certainly has the raw materials to work with. Micah can be as good as he wants to be.
