2013 Prospect Watch: Tere Calloway
Seattle (Wash.) Seattle Prep 2013 defensive back Tere Calloway is making waves in his junior season. Calloway is the playmaker for a Prep team that has only one loss on the season. "I was just invited to the 1st Annual Offense-Defense Junior All-American Bowl," said Calloway. "I was also invited to the US Army All-American Junior Combine in San Antonio." Calloway plans on attending both events and hopes the publicity and coverage will help get his name out to colleges. "I have been hearing from North Carolina, Washington State, Baylor, Idaho, UAB and Penn State," said Calloway. "I just got a letter from UCLA this week and an invite to a game this year." The 5'11" 175lb prospect is interested in programs all over the country, with his childhood favorites being a long trip from the Evergreen State. "I grew up watching Virginia Tech and North Carolina," said Calloway. "I will head to UNC for a camp this summer." Calloway plays running back and safety for his high school team, but most staffs project him to defense at the next level. "Most of the schools like me at free safety," said Calloway. "Some are looking at me as a nickel back or a punt and kick returner." Calloway is a long way from making any decisions, but does know what he will be looking for when it comes to evaluating colleges. "I am really looking for a great coaching staff," said Calloway. "Where the coaches don't leave and it is a strong program." Jake Worthen is a West Recruiting Analyst for Scout.com. Follow him on Twitter | Contact him at E-Mail | .
