Patterson (La.) is undefeated and the Lumberjacks boast a ferocious defense led by linebackers Tremaine Lightfoot and Lorenzo Phillips. Read further to get the latest news on Lightfoot.

"We have one game left and there's a good possibility we'll go undefeated," said Tremaine Lightfoot. "Last week, I played the whole game at both offensive guard and linebacker. Our guard hurt his ankle and I'll probably do it again this week. I didn't really get tired. It was fun to do something new.

"I have 86 tackles this year and the only game that I didn't get double-digit tackles was against Jeanerette. I have a lot of tackles for loss: 20-something. I've also forced seven fumbles and and returned a pick for a touchdown against Berwick."

What's happening on the recruiting front?

"I called Coach (Mitch) Rodrigue from UL (Ragin' Cajuns) recently but he didn't answer," said Lightfoot. "I haven't heard from Arizona State in a long while. I've been talking to Houston. We're going to their game against Tulane, and their coaches are coming to our first round playoff game (in two weeks). I gave the Houston coaches my tape and they're supposed to let me know something when they come down here.

"I"m just chilling and not worrying (about recruiting). It's between Houston and UL."
