Florida TE sets first visit
Anthony Russell tore his ACL several months ago and talked about the status of that and his team's 2011 season. "My doctor just approved me this week to play but we can't find anyone to accept our insurance to give me a brace to play in," Russell said. "Tomorrow is our district championship then one more game and the playoffs so I really want to get out on the field." Russell, 6-foot-5 and 245 pounds, has become one of the top tight end prospects in all of central Florida. He talked about the recruiting process. "I'm supposed to go visit Rutgers on December 2nd," he said. "I'm ready to go check them out. Louisville basically dropped me because of my injury, they said they'd talk to me after my knee healed up and see how it's going. I really haven't heard from Miami either and they were recruiting me early on." The talented tight end said two schools are talking to him the most right now. "I don't know who's my favorite school at this point," he said. "Rutgers is really the only school talking to me consistently. I'm interested in them, gotta check them out. FIU just started talking to me so I have to call their coach and talk to him soon."
