This is when the lights look a little brighter in the football stadium. Horns are blowing a little louder in the band. Overflow crowds are now the norm. It must be playoff time! Yes sir. Nothing like this time of the year in the high school ranks. To get a glimpse on how the Ole Miss commits have done up to this point, read below.

Ole Miss Commitment Stats
**Memphis Ridgeway upped their winning streak to six games as they blasted Collierville
62-17 last Friday to up their record to 7-3. The Ole Miss running back commit,
Jaylen Walton, led their team with 253 rushing yards and 4TD's
in the contest..
He now leads the Memphis surrounding area in rushing with 1, 995 yards and 18
TD's. He is averaging 195 yards rushing yards per game which tops Brian Kimbrow's
186 yards a game. Scout.com's #44 nationally rated running back rushed for more
than 2,200 yards and 38 touchdowns as a junior.
Ridgeway faces Farragut in the 1st round of the playoffs tonight.
**Sandy Creek (GA) saw their winning streak increase to 38 games after they beat
up on Fayette 31-0 last Friday. Mike Hilton, an Ole Miss commit
who starts both ways (RB/S) for Sandy Creek, had 108 rushing yards and two batted
down balls in the contest.
Scout.com's #74 rated running back helped Sandy Creek to a state championship
last season with 87 carries for 720 yards and 12 touchdowns. Hilton made an even
bigger impact on defense manning the safety position as he racked up 70 tackles
, 9 interceptions and 11 passes broken up.
Nationally ranked Sandy Creek faces West Point in their last regular season game
tonight.
**RB Kenno Loyal and Columbia scored on the last play of the
game against Woodard Aca but missed the extra point and took a tough 21-20 loss.
The recent Ole Miss commit had 118 rushing yards and 1 TD in the contest.
Scout.com's #56 rated tailback has rushed the ball 152 times for 976 yards and
10 TD's this fall.
The Decatur, GA native rushed for over 1,500 yards and 18 TD's his junior season.
Columbia faces West Point tonight in their last regular season game.
**Blackman had their star tailback return from a turf toe injury. Iit looked like
I'tavius Mathers was just what the doctor ordered for their offense
as he helped them get a 28-12 win over LaVergne. The Ole Miss commit rushed for
176 yards and two touchdowns in the game.
I'tavius Mathers had a Tennessee Mid State-best 1,667/17 TD's yards before the
injury. He now has 1, 833 rushing yards and 14 TD's on the season despite missing
three games of action.
Last season Tennessee's Gatorade Player of the Year ranked tailback rushed for
2,600 yards and 31 touchdowns.
Blackman faces Farragut tonight in the first round of the playoffs.
Memphis University School won their fifth straight game as they beat Briarcrest
26-10 to run their record to 7-3. The Owls rushed and passed for over 180 yards
in the contest and Ole Miss commit OG Ben Still was a big part
of their offense's success.
The 6' 4", 285-pound right guard is currently rated the #43 ranked guard
in the country.
MUS earned a first round bye and will face the winner of the Battle Ground Academy/McCallie
contest next Friday.
**Whiteland and OT Jake Meador
took a loss in their last regular season game to Martinsville 35-28 the Friday
before last. Their season is now over as they finished 4-6. The 6' 7", 305-pound
offensive lineman finished the regular season with over 40 pancakes and did not
allow a sack.
Meador is currently rated the #68 at offensive tackle in the country.
** QB C.J. Beathard and Battle Ground Aca took it on the chin
last Friday and were defeated soundly by Baylor 38-14. Tonight they face McCallie
in the first round of the playoffs. They defeated them earlier this season by
the score of 33-21.
The Nashville, Tenn., native was 23-35 for 245 yards and 2 TD's against Baylor.
The Ole Miss quarterback commit has passed for 2, 148 yards and 21 TD's/3 Int's
on the season.
Scout.com's #89 ranked quarterback passed for 2, 312 yards and 17 TD's as a junior.
**South Panola looks to be solving their early season offensive woes as they have
put up over 40 points in three of the last four games. The Tigers ran their record
to 7-3 with a 41-0 win over Grenada.
5-Star junior prospect, S/RBAntonio Conner stole the show again
offensively as he rushed for 150 yards/2 TD'sa while chipping in 72 receiving
yards and another touchdown in the contest. The week before last he rushed for
332 yards and 3 TD's against Southaven. He now has over 1,166 rushing yards and
18 TD's on the season.
Defensively, the two stars for their defensive line, Temario Strong
and Issac Gross, led the way. Strong finished with 4 solo tackles,
1 pass deflection, 3 qb hurries, and also had a fumble recovery. Gross had three
tackles for losses.
Temario now has 46 tackles, 19 for losses, 4 sacks, 5 batted down balls, 3 forced
fumbles and 2 recovered fumbles on the season.
Issac has 52 tackles, 7 sacks, 23 for loss, and 1 interception for a 72 yard touchdown
on the season.
Both Strong and Gross were named to the 2011 Mississippi/Alabama All-star game
that is being played in Montgomery on December 10th. Gross was also selected to
the Under Armour All-American game in Orlando in January.
They were both named to the 1st Team All-State squad as juniors. Gross had 75
tackles and 10 sack for the season and Strong had 79 tackles, 14.5 sacks, and
3 recovered fumbles.
**Rockbridge (MO) and TE Austin Ray defeated Blue Springs 32-17
last Friday to win their District. Austin chipped in with three catches for 30
yards and a touchdown. Tonight Rockbridge faces
nationally ranked Rockhurst in the first round of the playoffs.
The 6' 6", 240 pound tight-end has 22 receptions for 338 yards and 5 TD's
on the season.
**Lutcher, LA., won it's eighth game in a row Friday as they defeated Assumption
28-0 to run their record to 8-1.
Ole Miss commit, CB Jordan Batiste, had eight tackles and a pass
deflection in the contest. He now has 83 tackles, 4 interceptions, 10 batted down
balls, and 1 sack on the season.
Last season Scout.com's #82 rated cornerback finished the 2010 season with 84
tackles and 7 picks.
**West Bolivar finished their regular season in style as they defeated Simmons
35-6 to run their record to 9-1. The Ole Miss junior running back commit, Kailo Moore, carried the ball 14 times for 103 yards and 2 TD's before the
starters were pulled at halftime.
Moore has rushed the ball 146 times for 1, 256 rushing yards rushing yards and
19 TD's for the season. He rushed for 2, 297 yards and 32 TD's as a sophomore.
West Bolivar faces East Webster tonight in the first round of the playoffs.
**LB Ike Spearman and Lake Central (Ind) loss in the first round of the playoffs
the Friday before last. They fished their season with a 8-2 record. The Ole Miss
linebacker commit finished the season with 111 tackles and 9 sacks.
The 6' 0", 215-pounder is currently ranked as the #83 rated OLB in the country.
