Jonathan Williams, a 5-foot-11, 205-pound running back from Allen High n Texas initially made a verbal commitment to play for Missouri, but decided that Missouri may not be his best fit.
Verbal commitments are non-binding, so the Scout.com four-star running back had the opportunity to look around.
After taking a visit to Fayetteville on October, 8th Williams officially decommitted from Mizzou and announced to HawgsIllustarted.com's Dudley Dawson that the Razorbacks were in the lead for his services and rumors suggested he could very well be a silent commit.
On Friday Williams stated via Twitter (@Jwillpart2) that he went ahead and made the decision to commit to play under Bobby Petrino at Arkansas.
"Just became part of the Arkansas family," Williams confirmed.
Williams and his #5 rated Allen High teammates are set to take on Keller Central on Saturday. Ironically, Keller Central will feature OT Simon Goines, another player who recently decommitted from Missouri and may also be considering Arkansas.
So far this season Williams has rushed 158 times for 941 yards and has scored a total of 12 touchdowns. The Eagles are 10-0.
