The top 2013 linebacker prospect ran to the football and delivered strong hits when he got there. Love, 6-foot-1, 215-pounds, discussed his team's big win.
"The key for us was getting stops defensively, and causing turnovers," Love stated. "We stayed with it all the way, and this is the biggest game I've ever played in. I give Steubenville all the respect in the world, and they are a great team."
Love is regarded as one of the top linebacker prospects in Ohio for the class of 2013, and he showed why in this game.
"I think my best asset is making my reads and running to the football," he explained. "I have to get better in recognizing the passing game, but that's something I'm working on."
College recruiters have been aware of Love since his sophomore season, and he has picked up two big BCS offers to date.
"I was just offered by Michigan State this week, and earlier I was offered by Nebraska," he noted. "Nebraska is a great place, with Coach Bo Pellini, and I can't wait to visit there and see what it's like."
"Michigan State is another great program I've been to, and I love everything about them as well," he added. "I've been speaking to Ohio State, and I was at the Wisconsin game. That was a great experience and it was awesome being there. I think Ohio State will be offering soon, and I'm being recruited by Coach (Nick) Siciliano."
"I was at Notre Dame for a game earlier this season, and that was great," he continued. "Every place I've been to has been awesome, and Notre Dame is very special. I'm also hearing from Michigan, Cincinnati and West Virginia."
Next week, Love and his Cardinal Mooney teammates will face Dover in third round playoff action.
