"I am really looking at North Carolina, Boston College, Ohio State has been recruiting hard lately, East Carolina, and Wake Forest," says the 6-foot-1, 170 pounder. "Right now I am leaning toward North Carolina, but if I get an offer, I am going to talk to my parents. I am not going to commit right then, because I want to take some visits."
Notre Dame was looking at Barth, who made 16-of-18 field goals without a tee at a recent North Carolina combine, but the Irish has decided to work on a walkon instead of recruiting a kicker this year.
"Notre Dame tells me that they are not recruiting a kicker in Connor's class. We were going to go to their camp, but decided not to when they told us that," says Connor's father Tom Barth. "We did get a call from Ohio State -- they are seriously looking for a kicker so we will go to their kicking camp on June 25-26. I told Connor it would be a great experience to check out a program of that magnitude."
Connor will take in at least five camps this summer to work out for coaches.
"I am going to Wake Forest, then North Carolina, Ohio State, then Boston College, and then the Forth Down Camp at Virginia Tech. I have been working on kicking off the ground this year, and I adjusted really well to kicking without a tee."
