Barker talks Badgers
Conner High quarterback Drew Barker took a trip up to Madison this weekend to watch the Badgers take on Penn State. Scout.com got a quick update on that trip. Drew Barker looks like one of the better athletes in Kentucky's 2014 class. The quarterback has been getting attention from a number of schools, including Wisconsin. Barker got an invitation to check out the Badgers on Senior Night and he came away impressed. "It was great. The atmosphere was unreal and the fans are crazy," said Barker. Barker got a chance to see some of the facilities and talk with the coaches while he took his campus visit. "I got to talk with Coach (Paul) Chryst the quarterback coach and he was a great guy. I also small talked with Coach (Charles) Patridge the assistant coach and Coach (Bret) Bielema. "The facilities were decent, but they showed us a Power Point where they're building all brand new facilities and it will be all done by 2013," Barker continued. As a whole, Barker was impressed with what he saw from the Badgers. "Overall it was amazing. It felt like everyone had a tight bond with each other." Barker led his team into the playoffs this year, throwing for 1280 yards and eight touchdowns. He also rushed for 1434 yards and 22 touchdowns.
