"Kyle is a talented athlete whose leadership and teamwork qualities have made him a standout at St. Edward High School," said John Myers, Director of Strategic Communications, Marketing and Outreach, U.S. Army Accessions Command. "Only the strongest wear the Army colors, and Kyle possesses similar mental, emotional and physical strengths to Army Strong Soldiers. We are proud to honor all of the U.S. Army All-American Bowl players and congratulate each of them on their selection."
The 6-foot-5, 305-pounder bolsters an impressive roster for the U.S. Army All-American contest. He is currently rated as the #7 offensive tackle in the country by Scout.com, making him a five-star prospect.
Kalis is committed to play his college ball for Michigan.
Scout Eval: Kalis is a tough, strong lineman who dominates consistently. He plays the game hard and is an excellent run blocker and drive blocker. He plays with good leverage and finishes his blocks strong. He shows the ability to pull and lead, and is coordinated and athletic in the open field. He has good feet all around, which is also evident in pass pro. If there's a knock, it's that he may not be long enough for left tackle. - Allen Trieu
