Dieter sets visit to Kansas
Posted Dec 14, 2011

Kansas head coach Charlie Weis began working the recruiting trail practically before his bags were unpacked last week, and one of his first calls - and offers - was to South Bend (IN) Washington wide receiver Gehrig Dieter. Wednesday, Weis visited Dieter at his school, and it appears as if a visit has now been set.

The 6-foot-3, 210-pound wide receiver is one of the most productive wide receivers in the country, with a host of Division One offers already in hand.

"My visit with coach Weis went well," Gehrig Dieter said, via Twitter. "Going to visit (Kansas) this weekend."

As a senior in 2011, Dieter set the national record for receiving yards in a game with his 12 catch, 447-yard performance Sept. 2 versus Elkhart (IN) Central.

He finished the season with 82 catches for 2,181 yards and 24 touchdowns.
