Florida LB enjoys Big East visit
Tashon Whitehurst talked about his weekend visit to Syracuse. "I saw a lot from the education point on Saturday. They showed me around the campus and in some classrooms. On Sunday they showed me the facilities, and talked a lot more about football. I met all the coaches and lot of players. I had a really good time." Whitehurst talked about some of the things he learned while on the visit. "I learned a lot about the living situation for the players. Also, the players told me about their classes, and what to expect. I learned a lot while I was up there." Whitehurst, 6-foot-3 and 195 pounds, was hosted by a freshman. "My host was Terrel Hunt, the freshman quarterback. It was fun hanging out with him and the other players. I hung out with James Washington from Florida and met all the other recruits from up north. Wayne (forgot his last name) seemed like he was going to commit. He's from up north." Prior to leaving the SU campus, the standout linebacker prospect met with coach Doug Marrone. "My talk with Coach went good. We talked about how he felt about me and he told me how things were run around there. He was a straight up guy, I liked him a lot." Whitehurst says he's done with the recruiting process now and isn't talking to any other schools.
