"When we first got there I met with all the coaches and some of the players. Then we went out to eat, and they showed me around the school and town."
Dumas, 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds, talked about what he liked the most about the trip.
"My favorite part was just being around the school. The campus is so nice, it's just fun to be around."
Like most visits, new things can be learned. Dumas talked about what he learned.
"I learned that South Alabama owns one of the biggest properties of land in the country. So they always have room to add on and make it bigger."
The standout defensive back prospect spent some time with current players and fellow recruits.
"A guy they call "Mufasa" was my host. He was really cool. All the players, coaches, and even people in the town were very welcoming. I was the only high school recruit, all of the others were Junior College kids."
Prior to leaving the campus, Dumas spent some time with his future head coach.
"My meeting with the coach was good. I committed to them on Saturday, so he wanted to make sure I was behind my commitment 100-percent. We had a real good talk, I like him a lot."
Dumas says he's now finished with the process and isn't talking to any other schools about possible visits.
