Teko Powell talked about his senior season that will finish on Friday afternoon at the Class 6A state title game. "We're going to state tomorrow!," Powell said. "I can't wait. Individually, I played pretty good this year. I definitely improved a lot from last year." Powell, 6-foot-2 and 290 pounds, committed to Louisville early in the process but backed off that during the season and now has a top five mapped out. "Alabama, LSU, Illinois, FSU, and West Virginia are my top five," he said. "At Illinois I met all of the coaches and players, I really liked the atmosphere there. Alabama and FSU are just great programs that offer really good education. I haven't visited LSU or West Virginia yet, so once I see those schools I'll make my decision, probably at one of the all-star games." Powell said he's being actively recruited by all five of those programs and he's already taken a visit to Illinois. "Those five schools have came to my school. Most of those schools are coming to my house in January to meet with me and my family. I'm going up to visit LSU and West Virginia in January." The standout defensive tackle prospect, who claims a 2.7 GPA and a 22 ACT score, talked about what he's looking for in a school. "When it comes down to making my decision I wanna be able to come in and play as a freshman," he said.
