Encino (Calif.) Crespi receiver Chris Harper had committed to SMU on his official visit a week ago.

But he still wanted to see if an in-state Pac-12 offer became available.

On his official visit to California last weekend, one did, from the Golden Bears staff, and Harper jumped on it.

"I officially committed to California," said Harper on Twitter.

This week, Harper went live with his decision, and several future teammates, including Bryce Treggs, who he played with on 1925 All-Stars, celebrated on Twitter.

Harper was a 1,000-yard plus receiver for the Celts this year.
