Royce LaFrance committed to North Texas following a trip to the school in late July. He has a new suitor to think about, however, now that Tulane threw its name in the hat this week with an offer.
LaFrance reported the offer to Scout.com Thursday evening, and we expect to have more details shortly.
The 6-foot-3 senior plied his trade much of the time in the middle for the Class 4A West Bank program, although he's a candidate to move outside on the next level.
LaFrance suits up on Monday evening for the 2011 Lake Pontchartrain All-Star Football Classic, which will be held at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
Kickoff is scheduled for 5 P.M.
LaFrance is a member of the Jefferson Parish squad that will square off with a team from Orleans Parish.
Tulane recently hired Curtis Johnson, formerly of the New Orleans Saints, as its head coach.
