A number of prospects moved up and down in the positional rankings, but five saw their stars increase this month.
Jonathan Bullard will be announcing his decision next Wednesday and he will now be doing so as a five-star.
Bullard is a 6-foot-4, 265 pound defensive lineman out of Shelby (NC) Crest and he impressive in the trenches. He is very strong at the point of attack and he could play strongside end or some three technique inside on the next level.
Clemson, Florida, and South Carolina are the finalists for the no. 31 ranked prospect in the country.
The quartet that added a fourth star to their profiles are Ryan Anderson (no. 164), Derek Edinburgh (no. 237), Will Redmond (no. 240), and Graham Shuler (no. 300).
Anderson has taken off this season. The 6-foot-3, 250 pound defensive end out of Daphne, Ala. is very physical and he attacks on the football field. He is getting ready to enroll at the University of Alabama.
Ediburgh is a monster offensive tackle at 6-foot-7, 320 pounds and he is committed to LSU. He has dropped a little weight this year, he has improved his footwork, and he has a lot of upside at LSU.
Brian Kimbrow received all the press early, but his teammate Will Redmond has really come into his own. Redmond is an athlete with the most potential at cornerback due to his size, length, and ball skills. He is currently committed to Mississippi State.
Stanford is getting a very versatile offensive lineman in Graham Shuler. The 6-foot-5, 280 pound OL can play any of the five positions on the offensive line, but he will likely be a center in college. He is very smart, he is continuing to add good weight, and he is a very intense competitor.
Other News and Notes
The prospects that lost stars are Dante Fowler (Florida State commit is now a four star), Dalvin Stuckey (Florida State commit is now a three star), Patrick Destefano (Clemson commit is now a three star), Darreon Hutcherson (Auburn commit is now a three star), and Darion Monroe (Texas A&M commit is now a three star).
Florida State commitments Markuss Eligwe (no. 77) and P.J. Williams (no. 99) moved into the Scout 100 as did Clemson commitment Germone Hopper (no. 97).
Josh Harvey-Clemons, Eddie Williams, and T.J. Yeldon were all in the five-star discussion and it may come down to All-American games/practices for that trio. Each has a realistic shot at getting into Scout's final Top 50 for 2012, so their will be a lot of eyes on them early in January.
Prospects that are just outside the Scout300 are Tennessee commitment Nathan Peterman, Georgia commitment Blake Tibbs, Tennessee commitment Drae Bowles, Ole Miss commitment I'tavius Mathers, and Georgia commit John Atkins.
As always, Scout continues to evaluate prospects from coast to coast and five prospects in the South now sees a new star beside their name.
