Hurley Makes Decision
Julian HS 2012 athletic QB Dae'Shaun Hurley made his pick this week -- Ball State. "I decided on Ball State because I feel they have a great coaching staff," Hurley said. "And they have a great program." He added, "I also feel that its the best opportunity for me to get on the field early." The 6-foot-1, 190 pound signal caller made his decision shortly after his senior season. "On a scale from 1-10 my senior season was a 6," Hurley said. "Because of the games I missed in the beginning of the season, and because we didn't win a championship." Hurley missed the first five games of the season due to a transfer issue -- but then led his team to the state playoffs upon his return. Now the Chicago area standout can't wait to take the next step in his football career. "What I am looking forward to most about going to college is just getting away from home and experiencing new things," Hurley said. "Football wise as well as overall." It's not just Hurley that is excited about his future though. "When I told the Ball State coaches they said they are thrilled to have a play-maker like me," Hurley said. Hurley picked between Ball State and Northern Illinois. He will make his official visit to the Cardinals in January.
