Phoenix (Az.) Pinnacle outside linebacker Addison Palomino was set to visit UNLV this past weekend...it didn't happen."I didn't go," he says. "I decided to stay home and study for my finals."Study school work is not all he did. He mulled over his college offers of UNLV, NAU and Idaho and decided to commit to Idaho."My friend Trae and I committed together," Palomino says. The "Trae" he is referring to is Glendale (Az.) Deer Valley RB Trae Armstrong.Palomino and Armstrong tripped to Moscow together, formed a bond and both ultimately decided to become Vandals.Palomino (6-3 205) was an all-state performer, tallying 86 tackles and 12 sacks for the Pioneers.Armstrong, who is one of the fastest prospects in the nation, rushed for 1,794 yards and 23 TDs.His speed (clocked at 10.3 in the 100 meters as a junior) made him an attractive recruit in football and track. Armstrong (5-9 170) had a football offer from Montana and track offers from multiple programs including Arizona State and Texas Tech.Palomino comments on why he picked Idaho, "They were one of the first teams that showed me interest, that led to a great relationship with the coaches. I really like it there, it is something different than what I am used to here in Arizona."
