UA Combine: WR has offers, calls UM favorite
Jordan Cunningham is quickly becoming one of the state's premier wide receiver prospects in the 2013 class. He helped The University School make the state playoffs again in 2011. "We did good but didn't finish like we wanted," Cunningham said. "I ended up with about 40 catches for 700 yards. We had a few teams forfeit on us and we were ahead a lot so I didn't get as many touches as I had hoped but it was good." Cunningham, 6-foot-1 and 170 pounds, was at the Under Armour National Combine in Orlando on Saturday and was impressive. He talked about the recruiting process. "I have over 30 offers already," he said. "A lot of schools are recruiting me. My top ones are Miami, Stanford, Florida State, and Alabama." The standout receiver says one school stands out over the rest. "Miami's at the top," he said. "I'm from South Florida and it's close to home. They have a great tradition there. I went to a few games there and I've been talking to Coach McDonald, the receivers coach. I plan on going to Junior Day in a few weeks." Cunningham, who claims a 3.9 GPA in the classroom, talked about what he's looking for in a school. "Playing time, a pro style offense, and how the receivers coach interacts with his players," he said.
