Ole Miss, Tennessee and Miami all trekked to south Louisiana today to visit RB Davante' Bourque…
Bourque Hosts Huskers
"He got here around 3:00 P.M.," said Kirk Landry (Davante' Bourque's father) of Coach Ron Brown. "He said they love Davante' - that he's a good running back. He talked about persuading Davante' to visit Nebraska. "He said Nebraska would make sure that Davante' does what he needs to do in college academically. They like his height and size at running back. They want to get him there for an official visit so they can explain exactly how they will use him in their offense. They have a hard runner right now who is 5-foot-11 and 210 pounds, but they said Davante' is a different type of back who is shiftier." Will Bourque visit Lincoln? "Nebraska and Arizona State both want him to squeeze one in," said Landry. "It's so late (in the recruiting process). He has visits set up to Tennessee on January 13th and Miami on the 20th. "Coach Brown said most of Nebraska's staff has been together a long time and they don't change coaches often. They've been winning at least nine games on a consistent basis. They came close to winning the Big 10 this year." Landry said Brown intends on checking in with Bourque as much as possible from now until National Signing Day next month. Tomorrow, both Ole Miss and Tennessee will have in-home visits with Bourque, who decommitted from LSU on Wednesday.
