SAN ANTONIO - Charlie Strong dipped deep into Florida to get one of the top linebackers in the Sunshine State.

Keith Brown was committed to Miami until their coaching change. Then, he was committed to Illinois up until they made a change at head coach. Now, he is set to go to Louisville.

"I really like the coaches at Louisville and I chose them over Illinois and Miami," Keith Brown said. "I like Louisville and I think I can play early there too. The coaches are a big reason why I chose them."

Brown is a 6-foot-2, 230 pound linebacker out of Miami (FL) Norland.

Scout's Take: Brown is a linebacker who can play fast when he is healthy. He has looked good in coverage at 7on7 events and he can tackle with pop. He may be best down the road as an inside linebacker. He moves best when going north-south.

Chad Simmons is currently a National Recruiting Analyst for FOX Sports/Scout. He started with Scout in 2003 and then moved on to another Recruiting Service from 2004-2008 before returning to Scout the first of 2009 to become South Recruiting Manager.
