Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian receiver Jordan Payton
will stay in-state after all.
The four-star receiver picked California on Saturday during the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
"At the end of the day, Cal was where I wanted to be," said Payton. "We've got a great class building there."
Payton had been a longtime commit to USC, but parted ways with the Trojans during the summer.
This week, he narrowed his list down to Cal, UCLA and Notre Dame, but the Bears won out.
"We've got a good thing going at Cal and it's going to get even better there."
