Mobley Set for Official

Dy'Shawn Mobley might be the best running back in the south you have never heard of. The lack of publicity comes at no fault of Mobley's. The talented ground gainer rushed for 3,068 yards, a Tennessee single season state record. As one of the best prospects in his home state, Dy'Shawn drew attention from around the SEC. Earlier this year, he pledged his allegiance to Kentucky.

Dy'Shawn Mobley profile

"I am solidly committed to Kentucky right now," said Mobley. "I really like all of the coaches up there and that was one of the main reasons I committed.

"My family loved it up there too, so that helped me make my decision."

Dy'Shawn will return to Lexington this weekend in an effort to learn more about his future college home.

"I am taking my official visit this Friday," said Mobley. "I am excited about it.

"I am looking forward to getting to see all of the facilities and meet all of the coaches.

"I am excited about meeting the players and I am going to ask them everything about how things are up there.

"I want to know if the coaches change after you get up there."

At this point, Mobley reports that he has not set any other official visits, but that he has not totally ruled out the possibility.

"I am not sure if I am going to take any other visits or not," said Dy'Shawn. "Vanderbilt and Mississippi State both want me to take one, but I don't know yet.

"I am going to make a decision about all of that after I take my visit to Kentucky."
