Cox made the announcement public via his Twitter feed Saturday night.
"I guess the (word) is out...I'm going to KU!!!" he wrote.
Cox is currently on an official visit to the Lawrence, Kan. campus, and was in attendance at Allen Fieldhouse on Saturday afternoon, along with several other current team members and recruits, to watch the Jayhawks basketball team take on Iowa State.
His two years at College of the Siskiyous have been nothing short of prolific. A two-time first team all-conference and all-California selection, Cox was named the Golden Valley Conference Offensive MVP in 2011 and a first team All-American by the JC Athletic Bureau-California Community College Football Coaches Association.
In 456 career attempts he rushed for 2,744 yards and two touchdowns, breaking school records for career rushing, single game rushing and touchdowns in the process. As a sophomore in 2011, he rushed 244 times for 1,507 yards (a 6.2 ypc average) and 16 touchdowns.
