Ventura (Calif.) St. Bonaventure running back Shaun Wick waited patiently for his first offer to come in.
It finally came earlier this week, from Wyoming.
Wick then took a visit to Laramie this weekend, and by the time he left, he was all Cowboy.
"I just committed to Wyoming as a running back," said Wick.
So what made the Cowboys the pick?
"There is a good atmosphere there for hard working players," said Wick. "Coach Christensen is really making some big time changes to the program. I just like the way he runs things there, he's very professional."
Wick also could get on the field soon.
"I also get a chance to compete and play early," said Wick.
And Wick said the folks in Laramie impressed him.
"The people of Wyoming are second to none," said Wick.
In 2011, as a senior at St. Bonaventure, Wick was named First Team all-Ventura County Coaches team and First Team Ventura County Star team and was named the Marmonte League Offensive Back of the Year.
