Federal Way (Wash.) defensive tackle Uso Olive
took an official visit to Wyoming
"They had us go to position meetings, we went to coach Christensen's house and talked with him," said Olive. "Then they took us to a lodge where we snowmobiled. Later than night our host took us out and we got to hang out with the team."
Over the course of the weekend, Olive decided to switch his commitment to the Cowboys.
"The big thing for me was the location, I came in there with an open mind. But I wanted to be in a city," said Olive. "We were driving into Laramie and I thought there was going to be nothing, but it is a decent city."
"Our host, Mike Purcell, told me about the whole place and gave me the inside scoop," said Olive. "Just being around the players, they made me commit."
In addition to picking up Olive, Wyoming also landed two other Evergreen State prospects in Jayshawn Jordan and D.J. May.
"Yeah, going in there with DJ, I have a friend… I won't be a loner (laugh)," said Olive. "All of us recruits got along well. Jayshawn is one of the coolest guys; we are best friends already now. We talked and we pulled the trigger together."
