As National Signing Day approaches, internet rumors and misinformation will be rampant concerning the comings and goings of high-profile recruits.
Tuesday, stories started to spread throughout various message boards that Canton McKinley four-star defensive end Se'Von Pittman was unhappy with Ohio State, and would visit Michigan State this weekend.
Pittman, 6-foot-4, 255-pounds, committed to Michigan State last summer, but recently switched his commitment to Ohio State when Urban Meyer was named head coach. The rumor stated he would be visiting Michigan State with high school teammate Jermaine Edmondson, a Spartan commit.
"That is not true at all and please put the truth out there," Pittman stated Tuesday night. "I don't know where that started, but it is not true. I am 100% a Buckeye."
Former Canton McKinley head coach Ron Johnson was also surprised to learn of the rumor.
"I certainly don't think it's true," Johnson said. "When I talked to him today he was filling out his application to Ohio State. I don't believe it at all."
