Two still calling Big 12 commit
Duaron Williams talked about his senior season that ended far earlier than he had hoped. "I only played one game this season because I tore my ACL the first game of the season," Williams said. "I had a great game before I got injured, but it was tough being on the sideline the whole season, I hated it." Williams, 6-foot-3 and 305 pounds, committed to Iowa State at the end of 2011 and talked about the season they had. "Iowa State had a great year, unfortunately they lost their bowl game. But beating the number two team in the nation, Oklahoma State, was quite an accomplishment. That was awesome to see." Williams believes he'll fit in well at ISU. "Their coaches and players just seem hungry, they get after it and compete every down. They're the type of team that never gives up, and those are the types of players you want to be around." Despite the commitment, Williams says two other schools continue recruiting him down the stretch. "Mississippi State and UCF still call and show some interest. But it's slowed down a little. I tell other coaches I appreciate the call but I'm 100 percent to Iowa State. A few coaches came by my school but I'm not taking any other visits." Inside the classroom Williams claims a 3.8 GPA and a 22 ACT score.
