Thursday: Midwest State Rankings
There is a lot of disparity in the East Region, some of the states are loaded with talent and some are not this season.

The state of Delaware is loaded with talent, but unfortunately it is in the 2013 class. This years Delaware Top 5 is headed by Newark teammates tight end David Grinnage and wide receiver Xavier Griffin, who are both headed to North Carolina State.

The District of Columbia Top 5 is led by five-star defensive tackle Eddie Goldman from Edison-Friendship. Goldman is arguably the top prospect, but the best player may be his teammate running back Albert Reid.

The Maryland Top 40 is headlined by a pair of five-star prospects wide receiver Stefon Diggs and cornerback Ronald Darby.

The New England Top 15 consists of players from Connecticut, Massachusetts and New Hampshire. The top two plays hail from Massachusetts and both are teammates cornerback Armani Reeves and outside linebacker Camren Williams.

The New Jersey Top 35 features four players in the top five all from Don Bosco Prep, including the top prospect defensive end Darius Hamilton.

The New York Top 20 is led by Aquinas Institute offensive tackle Jarron Jones and St. Francis running back Akeel Lynch.

The Pennsylvania Top 80 is led by a pair of five-star prospects Bishop McDevitt defensive end Noah Spence and Hopewell running back Rushel Shell.

The Virginia Top 40 is led by four players out of the top six who all played in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, including the top prospect outside linebacker Eli Harold. Talk about recruiting your home state Virginia and Virginia Tech have secured commitments from 26 of the states Top 40 with a few more yet to declare.

The West Virginia Top 5 is led by three-star kicker Connor Kornbrath. Next year looks to be more promising in this state.
