The Los Angeles (Calif.) Loyola receiver Kodi Whitfield will stick with his original pledge...

Los Angeles (Calif.) Loyola receiver Kodi Whitfield, who committed to Stanford during the summer, had some thinking to do as Signing Day approached.

The son of former Stanford All-American and 15-year NFL lineman Bob Whitfield, the younger Whitfield was set to follow in his father's footsteps on The Farm.

But UCLA, one of the first schools to offer him, got Whitfield to visit officially and gave him something to think about.

Whitfield eventually chose to stick with his commitment to the Cardinal and will sign with Stanford on Wednesday, he confirmed with Scout.com via text.

Brandon is in his seventh year with Scout.com, currently as the National Recruiting Analyst and West Regional Manager. Prior to joining the Scout Recruiting Team, he was a team recruiting writer.  He's been covering recruiting for the Scout Network since 2003.
