After being a commit to USC for over a year, and to Cal for just under a month, Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian receiver Jordan Payton has finally settled on where he's going to college.
"I'm going to Washington," said Payton. "The opportunity is understanding and the coaches are great."
The four-star committed to USC late in his sophomore year, then the summer before his senior year, he decommitted from the Trojans and opened things up.
Payton nearly committed to Michigan after an official visit there then after tripping to Cal last month, chose the Bears earlier this month at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
But when Eric Kiesau, the Cal receivers coach, left to take the offensive coordinator job at Washington, that opened things up for the Huskies.
Payton took an official visit to Washington two weekends ago and then an unofficial visit last weekend.
On Tuesday, Payton decided that Washington would be where he'd sign on Wednesday.
