After a pair of JUCO defensive lineman selected Syracuse two weeks ago, echos of another dies down. But Markus Pierce-Brewster changed that in a hurry with a pledge to 'Cuse just hours before Naitonal Signing Day.

Not only was he an All-American, but Markus Pierce-Brewster was also named California Defensive Player of the Year in 2011 while at the Community College of San Francisco.

And now, people can call him a Syracuse commit. On the eve of National Signing Day, he pulled the trigger to SU over offers from Ole Miss, Kansas and Indiana among others.

A versatile speed rusher with the ability to play linebacker as well, the 6-foot-3, 235-pound Pierce-Brewster totaled 14 tackles for loss to go along with six sacks last season.

Scout.com will have much more on this developing story later.
