Lane Kiffin and his staff have done a good job of recruiting the state of Florida in recent years, and the trend has continued in 2012, with the commitment of four-star athlete Nelson Agholor from Berkeley Prep High School in Tampa (FL).
Agholor had double-digit offers and picked USC over Florida, Florida State and Notre Dame.
“I love the opportunity to play amongst the side of Marqise Lee and Robert Woods and have an opportunity to catch passes from a Heisman candidate, Matt Barkley," Agholor said.
The 6-1, 175-pound WR/DB has long been considered a USC lean and his official visit to Los Angeles this past weekend went a long way to seal the deal for the Trojans.
Agholor will likely play on the offensive side of the ball for USC, and gives quarterback Matt Barkley yet another dynamic playmaker in the passing game.
Nelson Agholor is the second player from the state of Florida to sign with USC, joining four-star defensive end Leonard Williams.
