Pearson ready for the challenge at Western
Tyrone Pearson ended his prep career today, officially, when he signed with the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers. The 6-foot-3, 285-pound defensive lineman visited Western Kentucky recently and was sold on the program by Willie Taggart and his coaching staff. "I feel like they will give me a great chance to compete on the field and to become a starter. They will support me academically," Pearson said. Pearson is ready to get on the field early for the Hilltoppers and he believes his work ethic will get him early opportunities. "I think I can contribute a lot early. I have a workout at 4:45 tomorrow morning because I want to be the best," said Pearson. "I want to come in and earn my time. I want to help win championships and win not only All-American honors and trophies – but academic All-American honors," Pearson finished. Pearson is one of the three Kentuckians who signed with Western Kentucky.
