Detroit Cass Tech has several players in their junior class with FBS offers already, and defensive tackle Kenton Gibbs recently became the fourth.
"Toledo, Central Michigan and Northern Illinois offered me," he reported. "I beleive Toledo was the first."
The 6'2, 275-lb Gibbs has been a two-year varsity standout for the Technicians, so it seemed a likelihood that offers would come, but he was not taking anything for granted.
"Well, when I got the first one, I thought to myself, mission accomplished! School is paid for."
Of the three schools who have offered, Gibbs has only seen the Rockets.
"I visited Toledo when they played Boise State. Toledo is a wonderful school with a wonderful environment. It's serine, peaceful, not too rowdy."
With it being only February, the offer count is not expected to stop at three, and Gibbs says there are some other interested parties.
"I'm hearing a lot from Iowa. Coach Campbell, he stops into Cass and every time he does, he asks about me. I'm also hearing from Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Michigan State, the same schools."
Gibbs says he does not currently have any junior days planned.
