Prior to Thursday, Darius Mosley says his recruitment was mostly light letters, some e-mails, and nothing too serious.
Then, almost just as quickly as the 4.4 speedster flies down the field, three offers came in one day: Central Michigan first, then Iowa, then Illinois.
"It was overwhelming," Mosley admits. "I wasn't expecting all three to come at the same time."
Since it all came so quickly, and because Mosley also plays basketball, it has been difficult for him to put a large amount of time into looking at these schools.
"I haven't had a chance to meet with any of the coaches, but they have sent me junior days, I just haven't had the chance to go. I've heard of the schools, but I haven't researched anything yet."
That will change in the coming weekends according to head coach Brandon Joggerst.
"He is scheduled to visit Missouri this weekend along with quarterback Todd Porter," Coach Joggerst said. "They both are scheduled to visit Illinois on February 26."
His speed and size (5'11, 185-lbs) allows Mosley to project to either side of the ball.
"I don't know what Iowa is, but I think Illinois is for DB. Central Michigan said I can play wide receiver or DB. I think I might like the defensive side better."
Either way, Mosley is suddenly one of the hottest prospects in the Midwest, and his hat-trick of Thursday offers is not likely to end the flow of colleges interested.
