Who's still out there in the 2012 class? And what's the latest on Big Ten junior days? Find out right here in this week's notebook.

LAST MEN STANDING
Although Signing Day has come and gone, there are still a few class of 2012 players looking for homes out there. Crete-Monee (Ill.) cornerback Anthony Standifer is the highest rated of the bunch. His family informs Scout that a target date for his final decision is February 28th. The finalists are Pittsburgh, Vanderbilt, and Ole Miss, who jumped in recently and will receive the last visit. The 6'1, 180-lb Standifer visits Vanderbilt this weekend.

Two other Midwest prospects who held FBS offers are still out there. Minneapolis Washburn (Minn.) wide receiver Kyle Hughes, who at one time was committed to Eastern Michigan, is still looking for a home. Ann Arbor Skyline (Mich.) wide receiver Theron Wilson, who had two offers, is also still undecided.

Big Ten Quick Hits

Northwestern: Brownsburg (Ind.) wide receiver Chase Dutra says he will visit Northwestern in April, and Ann Arbor (Mich.) Gabriel Richard quarterback Mason Sarosi reports to Scout that the Wildcats have invited him to their spring game and summer camp.
Ohio State: The Buckeyes have been busy in the Midwest, recently offering several prospects. A pair of Northern kids say the Buckeyes have recently been in contact. Milton (Wisc.) defensive end A.J. Natter and Cretin-Derham Hall (Minn.) wide receiver James Onwualu both have said they have started hearing from the Buckeyes. Both players hold several BCS offers.
Michigan: The Wolverines have a trio of Cass Tech players, offensive lineman David Dawson, defensive tackle Kenton Gibbs and cornerback Jourdan Lewis coming to campus this weekend. Lewis holds a Wolverine offer while the other two are in contention for one. One Motor City prospect suddenly a hot name is Malik McDowell, a sophomore defensive end from Detroit Loyola. He was slated to visit Michigan on Wednesday but rescheduled due to illness.
Michigan State: Aforementioned David Dawson from Cass Tech says he believes an MSU offer is close. He is one of several interior in-state linemen battling for an offer along with Nate Jeppesen and Cameron Dillard. Another in-state prospect to watch? Birmingham Brother Rice defensive end Sergio Perkovic, an athletic 6'4, 220-lber who we believe is on the verge of several offers. He says the Spartans were recently in his school. Grand Blanc (Mich.) linebacker/defensive end Luke Maclean and Milton (Wisc.) defensive end A.J. Natter tell us they will visit MSU on the 25th.
Illinois: The 26th will be a big day in Champaign as the Illini will host many talented prospects for their basketball game and junior day. The bulk of the group will be made up of in-state prospects, but one intriguing out of state prospect will be South Bend Clay (IN) WR Wesley Thomas, a 6'0, 190-lber who just visited Ohio State and now plans to check out the Illini. The Illini are also hitting the state and the Windy City hard. Inner city linemen Ki-Jana Evans of Harlan and DaQuan Sain of Brooks both tell us Illinois has been in heavier contact of late.
Iowa: Carmel (Ind.) linebacker John Kenny was one of the recent offers for the Hawkeyes. The 6'2, 210-lber, who had a very productive 2011 campaign says, "I'll probably visit out there in the spring." He currently holds other offers from Indiana and Arizona. Another recent offeree, Milton (Wisc.) defensive end A.J. Natter, says he is planning an unofficial visit for Iowa in the spring.
Indiana: Louisville Ballard (Ky.) offensive tackle Joey Bloomfield is a 6'6, 295-lb junior who says Indiana has been in contact. No offer yet, but Bloomfield feels he is close to earning his first offers. Another sleeper prospect who reports Indiana interest is Olentangy Orange (Ohio) quarterback Kofi Hill, an athletic 6'3, 215-lber who just may blow up coming up here. One more to watch? Concord's Franko House, a teammate of 2012 signee Jason Spriggs, who could be his twin brother. House is 6'6, 250-lbs and holds a basketball offer from Ball State.
Wisconsin: This weekend's junior day will have a lot of talented prospects at it, and not just 2013 prospects as the name implies. Three of the state's top sophomores, Monona Grove offensive tackle Jaden Gault, Mequon Homestead defensive tackle Brandon Hines and Hartland Arrowhead guard George Panos all say they will be attending. Several top 2013 in-state prospects like R.J. Shelton and Chikwe Obasih will be on hand as well and looking for Badger offers. Top defensive end prospect A.J. Natter says he will not be there, but will visit the Badgers in the spring.
Minnesota: The Gophers have a junior day coming up on the 25th, and there are several top prospects and many in-staters confirmed for the event. One name to track for Minnesota fans is Jack Kalthoff, a quarterback from Annandale. He's a 6'3, 195-lber who passed for over 2,100 yards and 19 touchdowns last season while leading his team to the state title game.
Penn State: Shaker Heights (Ohio) defensive tackle Donovan Munger is one of the recent Midwest offers for the Nittany Lions. The 6'3, 285-lb Munger says he would like to visit Happy Valley soon, potentially for junior day and possibly for a spring practice or the spring game. He now holds eight BCS offers after also adding Tennessee recently.
Nebraska: Nebraska was busy in Illinois recently, offering a couple of the top kids in the state, including future 5-star running back Ty Isaac from Joliet Catholic Academy and Harvey Thornton cornerback Jalen Banks. Banks says he has not been to campus before, but hopes to visit in the spring, while Isaac is undecided on if or when he would visit. We also hear Prairie Ridge (Ill.) sophomore OL Shane Evans has heard from Nebraska.
Purdue: Purdue will host a junior day next weekend and Scout has confirmed several Midwest prospects who will be in attendance: Detroit Crockett (Mich.) running back and cornerback Desmond King, Warren Mott (Mich.) offensive tackle Harris Vrabac, Providence Catholic (Ill.) linebacker Jack Fordon and Chicago Mount Carmel (Ill.) running back Draco Smith.

Sleeper of the Week

Auburn Hills Avondale (Mich.) offensive lineman Clark Clancy is a 6'4, 260-lber who played offensive tackle last year, but projects to guard or tackle at the next level. He has good feet and mobility on film. He needs to get stronger, but he's a good prospect. We hear Cincinnati, Bowling Green and others are beginning to recruit him.

Underclassman of the Week

Lawrence Central (Ind.) linebacker Brandon Lee recently added offers from Iowa and Ball State to his list. He already had an Indiana offer and the 6'3, 210-lber is quickly establishing himself as one of the Midwest's best for the 2014 class.
