New Big 12 Offer for Smith

FOX Sports Next is in the streets bringing you all of the coverage. We caught up with Dulles athlete Maurice Smith to see what is going on. He has just pulled in a new offer from one of the nation’s powerhouse programs.

Momentum is building for Sugar Land (TX) Dulles defensive back Maurice Smith. What was once five offers has now turned into six.

“Just an update, I just got offered by Oklahoma,” Smith said. 

Now the Sooners are on the list with Utah, Texas Tech, Baylor, LSU and Texas A&M as the programs that have offered the 6-foot-1, 180-pound Smith. He is set to visit Nebraska this weekend, a place where he may get another offer.

The next weekend, he will travel to Austin to check out Texas. Last season, Smith had 63 tackles and three interceptions. Offensively, he scored 13 touchdowns last season.
