PSU impresses Burns

According to pop, PSU impresses Stone Bridge, Va., 2013 QB Ryan Burns following his junior day visit.

Stone Bridge, Va., 2013 signal caller Ryan Burns (6'5", 220) joined his teammate and defensive end Jonathan Allen in Happy Valley for Penn State's junior day. It was a visit that brought clarity and peace of mind sprinkled with some excitement for what lies ahead.

"I was really impressed," said his father Bryan Burns. "Coach O'Brien impressed me the most. He really showed that he is the perfect guy to make that turn for the program."

Penn State has forever been known as the linebacker university. With offensive guru Bill O'Brien steering the ship, the 'Linebacker U' could see a shift to more dominance on the offensive side of the ball, something that is very appealing to Burns, a pro-style quarterback.

"Yes, that is the attraction," said his father. "O'Brien has coached Tom Brady and he was talking about his experience. We talked to him for 45 minutes, and it was very impressive. And they just brought in a new QB coach, so we will just have to wait and see how things go."

Ryan will head to UVa's junior day this coming Saturday and to Stanford's junior day the following weekend. For the latest on his recruitment, keep it logged on to FOX Sports NEXT.
