"I'm excited to get an offer from Rice," Warford said. "I'm looking forward to getting to Rice and seeing how it is. From what I have heard it is pretty nice up there and the coaches are good. I've seen them play a couple times. I'm going to look into it more and see how that goes. My coach has told me that schools are supposed to offer, so we'll see how that goes. It's a great feeling to get my first offer from Rice."
During Warford's visit to Houston, Texas to see the campus, Warford has a few things he wants to look for in the Rice football program.
"I want to see how the coaching staff is and what position they want me to play me," Warford said. "Rice might be in mind if I like the school. My family is moving to Houston when I graduate, so it will be close to them. I would love to get early playing time, but depending on the situation I wouldn't mind getting redshirted."
Warford said he's also hearing from Houston running back coach, Travis Bush and from the coaches at UTSA. Louie Rodriguez (Graduate Assistant Coach) at Boise State is also talking with the young running back.
Warford might not know the school where he wants to spend his college career yet, but he does know exactly what he wants his ideal school to look like.
"I'm going to be looking at the school's academics," Warford said. "I want to see what type of offense they run and what position are they are considering playing me if I go there. And if the football program is run well. I'm looking for a place I can call home. Also want to make sure they have my major in Criminal Justice or Sports Medicine."
