Phoenix (Az.) Brophy WR Devon Allen gets Irish with 15th offer

Scout.com has learned that wide receiver Devon Allen from Phoenix (Az.) Brophy has received a new scholarship offer, bringing him to fifteen overall.

Allen says, "Notre Dame offered me tonight."

The Irish have been very active in Arizona lately and have been in contact with Allen for a few weeks now.

Allen continues, "Coach said I went through the process and all of the coaches loved my film.

His junior film can be seen here:

Allen (6-1 185) also has offers from Arkansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, UCLA, Vanderbilt, Mississippi State, Michigan, Oregon State, Arizona, Washington, Purdue, Arizona State, Colorado State, Duke and Stanford.

Allen is one of the west coast's hottest prospects, getting the bulk of his offers in the past month. He is hearing from schools on a daily basis but admits that he doesn't know a ton about Notre Dame. He comments, "I don't know much about them but I plan to find out more tomorrow. I have a teacher that is an alumnus and I am going to ask them."

With offers rolling in hand over fist, Allen has not decided on a camp or visit schedule but it seems like South Bend is a likely destination. "I would like to see this fabled campus," he says.

Allen caught 44 passes for 844 yards and 14 TDs as a junior.
