"Utah offered me," said Pagano.
Before a story could be written up on the first offer, the big man got more good news.
"Washington State just offered me too," said Pagano.
Pagano would classify both offers as surprises, given that his communication with the programs had been minimal to this point.
"Utah… Kind of came out of the blue, I had talked to them at the All-Poly Camp," said Pagano. "Their defense sticks out to me, with the Polynesian connection. They did decent in the Pac-12 this year, I think they will be great next year."
"Washington State… it was a surprise too. My coach told me today that they were going to send me offer," said Pagano. "I only know one guy, the D-line coach (Joe Salave'a). He was telling me they brought in a whole new system. A lot of things will change there which has me excited and interested."
Pagano talked about what it has been like to be in the eye of the recruiting storm.
"It's been fun and crazy. I didn't expect it to be like this," said Pagano. "It's a great feeling to know that all the hard work you put in the offseason is paying off. I am thankful."
