Recruiting Spotlight - Dre Milton

Dre Milton (Scout.com)

Scout.com spoke recently with Dominic 'Dre' Milton, a 5-foot-10, 225-pound running back/linebacker prospect from Lakes High School in Lakewood, Wash., and although Milton was a second team all-SPSL 3A pick as a junior, he wants to make some noise as a running back. But the Lancers are going to be as loaded as they've ever been in the backfield.

Joining Milton in the chase to tote the rock will be two other 2013 prospects, Kevin Thompson and Dionte Johnson, and then there's a 2015 kid that is talented enough to maybe beat out all the upperclassmen - Justiss Warren.

Milton, who received an academic award at Lakes this past season, has been getting letters from schools like Princeton, Dartmouth and Notre Dame, and he is expecting to also attend camps at Washington and Washington State this summer.

He is a true three-sport star, as Milton runs track and plays baseball, and as a centerfielder for the Federal Way Knights select team, he helped them to win the Extreme Sports World Series last summer in San Diego.

"I want to play both (football and baseball) in college," Milton said.

At this point, all he's looking for is a chance.
