Davis, 6-foot-3, 200-pounds, has transferred to Middletown Fenwick from Cincinnati Moeller, and he expects to be the starter this coming season. Davis landed his third offer recently.
"I just added my third offer, from Kent State, and I'm thrilled about that," Davis stated. "I was previously offered by Bowling Green and Akron. Illinois is showing me a lot of interest, and I will be going there this Saturday. Other than that, I'm concentrating on getting bigger and stronger for the college camps."
Several other top BCS programs are expressing interest, and Davis has taken unofficial visits to check out different schools.
"I've been on unofficial visits to West Virginia, Indiana, Michigan State, Ohio State and a few others this winter," he explained. "They all say they like what they see, but they want to see me throw in person at their camps."
Davis did not start last year at Moeller, so there is not a lot of film out on him to date.
"I did get a little bit of playing time at Moeller, and I've put together a little bit of a highlight film," he noted. "I've got to show people what I can do at the camps, and then put together a great senior year. I'd like to commit before the season, but that might not be possible."
"I will be going to the Elite-11 in Ohio this summer, and that will be important for me," Davis continued. "I'm at Fenwick now, and the people have treated me great. They have great coaches, and my teammates have been awesome to me. I'm looking forward to next season, and I know nothing is guaranteed and I need to work harder."
