San Luis Obispo (Calif.) linebacker Jack Ferguson headed up the 101 this weekend for Stanford's Junior Day.
"Junior Day was outstanding, although I didn't get an offer," said Ferguson. "There was some really top talent there from all over the country."
Ferguson said he understood the reason no offer came.
"Stanford is in a tough position, since they only have 10 scholarships for the class of 2013," said Ferguson. "Coach (David) Shaw said if he had more to give, I would definitely get one."
But Ferguson said he got some encouraging news from Shaw.
"He also told me to stay engaged if I'm really interested in Stanford, which I am," said Ferguson. "More scholarships could open if players decide to leave early."
All in all, Ferguson said it was a great trip to the Farm.
"Overall, it was a great experience," said Ferguson. "Stanford has amazing facilities, great coaches and great players," said Ferguson.
